Structural Engineer In Training

Reid Paxton is a Structural Engineer-In-Training who enjoys a challenge and learning something new. Constantly reading literature as well as attending technical conferences to broaden his knowledge-base, Reid takes pleasure in finding unique solutions to complex structural and forensic problems. Reid graduated from the Architectural Conservation and Sustainability Engineering program (Structural Stream) at Carleton University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Engineering.


Reid undertakes many different types of projects from forensic investigations to residential and commercial design, maintenance and repair of existing structures and existing building retrofits throughout the National Capital Region.

    Reid's main hobbies include indoor/outdoor rock climbing and cycling. In the summer, you'll find him escaping into the forest for a few days of canoeing, fishing & backcountry camping and in the winter, taking to the slopes with two planks under his feet.

    Working at CEL, I enjoy the exposure to a vast variety of interesting work and the consistent support/training from senior staff. Working closely with my colleagues in a collaborative environment where we can assist each other and have a couple of laughs while we're at it makes my day, everyday.
